常滑で一青陶苑を経営する陶芸家八木氏による『陶芸体験コース』をお楽しみいただけます。
期間は2日から1週間ほどになります。
For first-time visitors or those wishing to revisit the fundamentals of pottery,
we offer the ‘Pottery Experience Course’ led by Mr. Yagi, a potter who runs Issei Tōen in Tokoname.
The course duration ranges from 2 days to approximately one week.
Pottery Experience Course Details
① 土練り練習
焼成の際、土の中に空気が含まれていると、作品が割れることが起きます。空気を抜くための『荒練り』『菊練り』が学べます。
① Clay Kneading Practice
During firing, air trapped within the clay can cause pieces to crack. Learn the techniques of ‘rough kneading’ and ‘chrysanthemum kneading’ to remove air pockets.
② 陶芸道具の作成
それぞれ陶芸家によって様々な工夫のされた道具が使われます。ここでは実際の道具の作り方をプロから学べます。
② Creating Pottery Tools
Each potter uses tools crafted with their own unique ingenuity.
Here, you can learn how to make these tools from the pros.
③ ろくろの形成方法
作品形成について、プロに直接、アドバイスをもらいながら、ろくろでの作陶技術を学びます。
③ Pottery Wheel Techniques
Learn pottery-making techniques on the wheel while receiving direct advice from professionals on shaping your pieces.
④ 土の再利用方法
年々、粘土の価格も上昇しています。地球環境の保護も含め、作陶用に土を再生する技術が学べます。
④ Methods for Reusing Clay
The price of clay continues to rise year after year. Learn techniques for regenerating clay for pottery making, including methods that protect the global environment.
